Raspberries

Specialty Crops

We have grown some of the brambles:  purple raspberries, red raspberries and blackberries for the fresh fruit market and also for wine making. This is an avenue we may once again pursue as the demand for fresh local fruit increases.  In the early days of this farm, many different crops were planted, on the theory that what you lose on one, you can make on the other.  John's grandfather grew melons and asparagus, and John's father grew peaches and cherries (sweet and sour).
